Background

Geared Up Culcha (GUC) is an Indigenous Australian business specialising in the supply of uniforms, workwear, safety boots, PPE and branded merchandise. GUC is Supply Nation Certified and are a proud First Nations business, with Indigenous team members currently making up thirty percent of their workforce.

Since its foundation in 2013, GUC has fostered long-term, meaningful customer relationships with a wide range of clients and industries including energy, construction, logistics, government, education and more.

As demand grew for more scalable, self-service ordering across their client base, GUC needed a flexible platform to meet these evolving needs.

Requirements

GUC’s vision was a highly configurable eCommerce experience that could serve large B2B & B2E clients and internal employee ordering. This required a multi-portal solution where each corporate customer could access a branded self-service site tailored to their products, pricing, and business rules.

Key requirements included:

  • Individual branded customer portals
  • Role-based access and permissions, including staff vs procurement views
  • Single and bulk order options (including name-personalised apparel)
  • NetSuite ERP integration for orders, stock, and pricing
  • Support for return authorisations and quote requests
  • Configurable checkout fields and voucher logic

GUC also required the flexibility to scale portals rapidly as new clients came onboard and needed seamless user management through their NetSuite system.

The 360 Commerce Solution

Each portal is fully customised to reflect the branding and catalogue requirements of GUC’s individual customers, empowering their clients’ staff to self-service while ensuring full back-office control.

  • Dynamic User Experience Groups: Fine-grained control over what products, prices, and checkout options each customer sees based on their role or company policies.
  • Custom Ordering Workflows: Products can be ordered via single or bulk forms, with personalised fields like employee names integrated directly into order capture and sent to NetSuite.
  • Return Authorisation Requests: Staff can initiate return requests from their order history, with configurable workflows and optional NetSuite integration.
  • Quotes & Vouchers: Support for customer-specific quotes and voucher codes, such as annual credit per user, fully tracked through NetSuite.
  • Advanced NetSuite Integration: Syncing of orders, product info, customer data, previous orders, and return requests across all portals.
  • Switching Portals: Users with access to multiple customer accounts can seamlessly switch between them.
  • Order Approval Process: Custom-built order approval flow for users, including supervisor notifications, email-based approvals, and dashboard management.

Results

GUC now manages a growing number of branded client portals from a single, secure platform, giving their clients’ staff and procurement teams the tools they need to order quickly, correctly, and independently.

The platform has streamlined onboarding for new enterprise customers and reduced manual order processing. Internal staff can manage site customers, users, products, and permissions directly from NetSuite, reducing admin effort and ensuring data consistency.
